Diogenes Outdoor Pool & Lawn

The outdoor pool is open from May – September, and heated throughout.  During this period, the pool is available to all members at all times.  Our pool is continuously filtered and kept in tip-top condition throughout the summer season.  Hardy club members have been known to take a plunge without the pool heating being on, but this is a very rare sight!

Lawned Area

Our large lawn area is a brilliant central point for sunbathing and socialising during the warmer summer months.  Situated at the rear of the house, there is ample space for everyone.  As well as super sunny positions, there are many shaded areas around the edge for those who sometimes want a little less sunshine.

With refreshments and ice-creams available from the tea-room, it’s the ideal spot to while away the hours whilst improving that all over Diogenes tan in the summer.

We also have two large sheds where members can store their sunbeds, deckchairs and ground cushions, handy to avoid having to remember to bring them along with you every time!

Cold showering is available under the double headed shower bar if you want to cool off without actually jumping in the refreshing pool water.  At Diogenes the choice is yours to use the water facilities as you please.  We only have one golden rule for the pools, and that is “never with a swimming costume on”.
